Yo when did the scene with the detective and the mother in law looking over the pictures happen? They showed it in the recap before the episode but I don't remember it ever being shown. And way too much happened in this episode for it to just be wrapped up in an hour. New Orleans might blow up in the finale 
Yo, the “fukk black people easter egg of the week” - and I had to pause the show when this shyt happened - was the lawyer discovering that Kofi wasn’t behind the wheel when Rocco was killed............through finding out that he was failing his GED exam at the time instead!
They couldn’t even throw Kofi a bone in this show, and have the kid pass his GED exam. Never seen a character take this many L’s in a mini-series.
And wtf is up with the atheist angle in the script through Gia’s character. That convo with her father at the house was fukkin random as hell, and this is like the second or third time she’s gone on a rant.
I was thinking the same thing. I just knew when the lawyer opened Kofi's letter that she would've seen that breh was a young Black genius who was sadly lost in the system
