My biological dad was born in Oakland in '69, but moved to Sac when he was around 9 when grandma left The Panthers. Spent most his life in Sac, is in prison in Washington State until '27...

I was born in Sacramento in '89. Spent my before school years there then bounced around from Sac to LA to Little Rock to Virginia, back to LA, back to Sac, back to Virginia, then to Memphis, back to Virginia one more time and first hit NC Summer 2005 when I was 16...
I went to prison a year later at 17, so I pretty much consider 17 the start of my adulthood. I feel like I'm equally a Californian and a Virginian, as an adult I've lived in a ton of places...
By the way I have 13 siblings, 11 of whom were born in Sacramento, two in Little Rock, and my siblings today live: one in North Carolina, three in Georgia (one in prison), one in Kansas, one in Los Angeles, one in Oregon, one in Tucson, and 5 are still in Sacramento...
Funny to me how my siblings are stretched coast to coast literally, California and Oregon to NC and GA...

1. North Carolina. Grandad on my dad side from Fairmount, and my grandma on his side from Winston-Salem. My grandma comes from a bougie ass family with some money. Hated my grandad because he was dark and they thought he was an uneducated country bumpkin. on mom side from Lumberton and my grandma from NYC.

My oldest daughter born in '17 in Fayetteville, my middle daughter born in '18 in Virginia Beach. Their mom lives in Raleigh but was born and raised in Fayetteville, never left until she was 21...
My youngest daughter was just born last Monday the 20th in Raleigh. Ironically her mom was partially raised in Fayetteville too, her mom was born in Brooklyn but has been in NC permanently since she was 12 and off and on since she was 6; kinda like how I bounced around multiple places, she bounced back and forth from Brooklyn to NC until they stayed when she was 12. She's never lived outside those two places...

- Her mother was born in McComb, Mississippi. Family was also between the Mississippi/Louisiana border. There is also some creole ancestry here.
- His father was born in Forrest City, Arkansas. His family were descendants of the enslaved.
- His mother was born in Forrest City, Arkansas. But her family was from Tippah and Marshall County Mississippi. It’s from this line that I carry my last name.
