It's a hierarchy that exists in the animal kingdom which includes homo erectus. Alpha males in our society have their own set of qualities that make the majority of the opposite sex view them as more likely candidates for sexual intercourse. Money, Status and Physical attractiveness for a man is to human(in terms of sexual attraction) is what physical strength is for a gorilla or the main on a lion, this is all in relation to how human's of the opposite sex goes about choosing their male counterparts and how gorillas/lions of the opposite sex

I find the opposite to be true. A lot of men know they're a beta. But who wants to admit they're a beta? No one. So they'll say the alpha/beta dynamic isn't real to make themselves feel better. It's very much binary. Either you're sexually attractive to a woman (alpha) or you're someone she sees for a stable husband provider role (beta). The more great you are on paper (how much you make generally), the more she'll overlook how sexually unattractive you are to her. But all you'll really have with her is a boring marriage, a shiity sex life and a fussy nitpicky wife because she was never attracted to this 5"8 out of shape beta whereas if she was married to the alpha she wanted, he would be getting sex every night, she would be giving him her 100% all day every day and she'd do anything to please dude because he's the man she really wanted and she'd want to make sure he didn't leave her for another woman.

Alpha/Beta only applies to animals in a social setting and nothing else. In the wild, an Alpha is considered the biggest/strongest, and the strongest is declared the leader, and is able to mate with the most females because having the strongest genetics, he is capable of creating stronger babies which is efficient in prolonging the survival of the species. Nothing more, nothing less. Basically "I can whoop everyone's asses so I'm officially the leader, and are fukking all the bytches until an even stronger animal beats my ass and takes my spot" All physical characteristics, the literally strongest ones hold the most power, hence the saying "Only the strong survive".

As someone mentioned earlier, it couldn't possibly be that binary with humans because we are entirely too complex for that and there are an insane amount of variables to prove that such classifications can't stick to people.

If you want to be binary, it's basically there are those with confidence, and those without. If you want to classify even deeper, then you get into personality types. You don't have to be physically strong, a leader, or even anything to spread your seed and further your lineage. There's a lot of people out there who will never amount to shyt and have a shyt ton of kids from lots of females. Does that make them an alpha?

Okay, so what if they run into someone with lesser money but is imposing and robs/extorts them of said money. Are they still an alpha cuz they're still rich? By nature's definition, they wouldn't because the moment you back down or show any weakness/fear to another creature as an alpha, the creature you just backed down to is now the alpha. A whole lotta rich people in this country still have people they gotta answer to, so they can't be the alpha...alphas don't live under anything, they make the rules.

Everyone wants to be chief and it can't work that way.
