To me it depends on 2 things, 1) what kind of drunk you are, and 2) how old are your children.

I saw my dad drunk 1x as a teenager and it is one of the most hilarious memories I have of my dad. Never saw my mom drunk but I heard from her friends that she was pretty funny as a drunk.

I have seen my aunt drunk as a child and she was really mean and out of control, it was pretty frightening as she threatened to get a gun and shoot people etc. My cousin (her daughter) is still scared of her cause of it, and she's an adult now.

Saw my uncles drunk lots of times as a kid, they mostly would just pass out on the ground at cookouts or dance terribly. Their kids didn't seem to mind.

Child don't learn what you say, they learn how you are.

If they see you trying to escape reality via intoxicants then you've literally paved the way in their minds to do the same when the path gets a little hard because you are their first and most powerful role models.

Think back, if your people had shown you ways to handle the stress and use it your benefit you wouldn't need to get your lean on and neither would your seed as you'd have handed those jewels down to him. Simple fact is people are swimming in ignorance and then think they all that when they say "Hey, look at me - I'm doing the back stroke!" when in reality you ain't supposed to be in that water in the first place so adapting to it is the height of idiocy.
Repped...people make it seem like it's normal to get fukked up just to escape reality. I never been on that hype.

Tipsy sure, drunk, hell nah.

This right here. Your still responsible for your child’s well being. A friend of mines BM was passed out drunk when his fell down some steps and broke his arm and the courts still almost made it impossible for him to get full custody

Key word being full custody. If he hired an attorney unless he's a dirt bag himself there shouldn't have been any reason he couldn't have gotten primary physical custody. :jbhmm:

They should never see you out of control.

If you can't handle your drinks then don't drink at all. I seen my parents party all the time when I was younger and when they got drunk they only smiled and talked a lot with their friends. No anger, no violence....

In comparison I had a neighbor who's father would get wasted and act a fool in the hood. Had his kids embarrassed at his lack of control. Dude would be handing out money like santa and blowing his cheque soon as he got paid... I couldn't even take a dollar from him because I knew they were broke. Now if that's your father how is that not damaging to your psyche?

My dad would get drunk and make me do push-ups or put me and my brother to fight. Good times.

I don't see how any parent would even want to be drunk around their kids anyway. I don't even want them to know I smoke cigs :stopitslime:

Have your three year old scared in a corner cuz daddy tripping and yelling loud for no reason.

Have your kids disrespect you at an early age brehs
I caught my dad smoking a cigarette once when I popped by his office by surprise. He had that deer in headlights look. I just slowly backed away and left. We never talked about it :dead:

I think when people picture drunk they picture someone puking their guts out or acting belligerent and being a crazy person. Yes drinking can cause that and if you doing those things around your kids you need to clean up your act.

But nothing wrong with drinking and having fun. As kids we would wait for my dad and uncles to get drunk then we would ask to stay over eachothers house because they would never say no. My family tho never had any violent or out of control drunks. So as a kid I saw my dad and uncles and aunts drink a lot but it never phased me because I respected him and knew he was the boss no matter what.

If your kids don't have no respect for you and they filming u eating a cheeseburger off the floor then u fukked up a long time ago.
