Mortal Kombat 3/ultimate/trilogy - This game is overrated in my opinion. The ai was so cheap.
Kabal with his damn throws :pacspit:
jade with her invincibility attack :pacspit:
mileena knowing exactly what your next move is :pacspit:

I liked the combo upgrade, but the ai's cheapness just made it so frustrating

Devil May Cry 2 - :uninterested:

Red Steel - The thought of being able to get into sword fights or gun fights with a "responsive" remote had me very interested in the game....good thing i only rented it.
Mario Strikers Charged - The first game was so dope :ohlawd: 2 player mode would get so heated....one of the best mario multiplayer games. Charged was just off. they changed too much for something that really only needed little change. like more modes, online play (:whoa:), more characters, different costumes, etc.

Charge was something else, I thought the game was easy I was undefeated till I played diddy kong and his stupid ass stage :why: and then that's when the computer started bs crap :pacspit:. I had to stop playing I never make it into the final's cup playoffs :to:.

As bad as the ME 3 ending was and the decisions not amounting to shyt, i think the fact that the devopers heard the outcry from fans and basically said deal with it was a worst than tbe e outnding itself. Its funny because for once gamers came by the hundreds and said they will pay damn near any amount for aome kind of dlc that correct the mess. Thats still a good game to me

I am shocked nobody has mentioned Mario Sunshine in here...what a terrible and repetitive game :snoop:

My gamecube collected dust after that game until Viewtiful Joe and RE4 were released.

Sunshine had a lot of innovative ideas that they didn't do the best job implementing.

The water pack and exploring that huge island weren't really bad ideas on their own, but they were underexplored.

The levels were bigger and more expansive than any of the SM64 stages :ahh:
...but there were only seven:beli:
And they were all tropical/island areas, no cave levels, very few sky levels, etc :beli:
And there were barely any enemies :beli:

He had tons of new moves with the water pack :gladbron:
But they got rid of the long jump, all his punches/kicks, and ruined the swimming controls :beli:
And there were only three extra nozzles in the whole game :beli:

Yoshi was in it! :krs:
... but you had to feed him 24/7 and he dissolved instantly in water :beli:

You had cool new challenges like surfing on bloopers! :youngsabo:
But you died instantly if you crashed :beli:

There were goop monsters and new villains in the mix! :whoo:
but they were all mostly flabby and sick :beli:
(while SM64 had levels where you could get killed in two or three hits, or even instantly with some enemies)

You had an evil version of Mario running the streets with a paintbrush! :birdman:
but he wound up being Bowser's :flabbynsick: son :beli:
And Bowser himself was :flabbynsick: at the end :beli:

Collecting blue coins :beli:

And there was practically NO reward for getting all the shines :why:

Sunshine had it's moments. The levels were expansive, the hidden stages were :ohlawd:, and most of the boss battles were pretty great as well (aside from Bowser Holmes at the end). It just didn't live up to the potential it had. To be honest, I wouldn't mind a direct sequel to this game, just because there's so much they could have done to propel this game to :salute: status.

Assassins Creed III I truly can't believe how they felt such a dull character would be fit for a lead. Now look what happened as a result, AC4 sold LESS and was apparently a far superior game and is available on more platforms. Everybody abandoned the series after that game
AC3 sold 12 million copies, AC4 has shipped 10 million... I wouldn't say that's EVERYBODY abandoning the franchise. I love all the AC games and yes AC4 was better than AC3 but AC3 wasn't THAT BAD. People act like it was an affront to basic human decency. But it was a solid game that had some big issues but nothing that ruined the game at least not for me. I actually prefer connors animations and fighting to his Grandpa's

The Getaway

fukk that game and all that it stands for

:WHAT!: The Getaway is a GOAT game and essentially an English Max Payne minus bullet time, but with free roam and probably has one of the most engaging stories. it was like a movie written and directed by Guy Richie.

Jak II: Loved Jak and Daxter because I like platformers in general but then the sequel came out and me as a child I was thinking "Well its gonna be like the original they just expanded upon it." NOPE. They changed everything. Made it darker, added guns, added a hub world where you can't bump into a car because if you did a fight started. But you pretty much had to use the cars to get from level to level. Game was super unforgiving too. You die in a level...no checkpoint close by nah you gotta start from the beginning of the level. I turned the game off and never went back. Terrible choice, like they decided to make a GTA game or something. But I wanted a platformer like the first game.

Twisted Metal Black: Might return to this but seemed so repetitive after a while. I liked them giving the characters stories but the actual gameplay just got kinda boring.

i was exaggerating of course but in the same period of time and out on more consoles - as launch titles at that - and couldn't match the previous games sales is telling. graphics and animations were great, no one can debate that, everything else about it was a drop-off in what you'd expect from not just AC games, but fun games in general. Story, characters, setting, main missions and side activities were all drab imo
