Your most disappointing games of all time?

Metal Gear Solid 2. bytch ass Raiden, fukk outta here. I'm still mad Hideo did that. Series really never lived up to the original MGS.

Does anyone remember the hype surrounding State of Emergency? Rockstar was getting cover stories for that game and I pre-ordered it crazy early...what a disappointment.

I might catch flack for this, but Fable was a disappointment. Mind y'all, it's a pretty good game and I had fun playing through it but this was a disappointment based on the interviews about what it was supposed to be and what it really was. The morality system and the way time worked was supposed to be really incredible but they were both disappointingly generic. The combat was choppy at best. It was just a decently fun game, nothing special like we had been promised.

Damn near forgot about State of Emergency. I remember never bein too hyped about it on the gamespot system wars forum back in the day and laughin at fools when it flopped.

But Fable.......man fukk catching flack. Fable was a HUGE disappointment. Brehs, Molyneux got me so goddamn mothafukkin hyped for that game to come out. I remember for like 2 weeks I kept tellin my fam that Fable was coming out and I was gonna need the big tv for a while. Kept reminding them that shyt. Damn i bet my pops thought i was an annoying lil nerdy nikka back then lmao. But I remember when I got it, and popped it in. Probably around....an hour and a half or 2 hrs later...I just couldn't feel it. I couldn't feel the fukking magic. It was so....ordinary. Like you said, the combat was choppy. The animations had little flow from one move to the other. It was just so disappointing. I can't stand the fukking sight of Peter Molyneux or even his name anymore, breh.

Still I can't believe how awful that game turned out...

5 of us from thecoli could make a better game then diablo 3 and on a shoestring budget at that. they put no work whatsoever into that game and it sold millions and got good reviews

Tekken 4

Man you brought back some painful memories there how could such an awful game come after the piff that was Tekken 3/Tekken Tag?

I remember being alll like what the fukk is up with Paul's hair? And yeah the gameplay sucked. Though I'll say that Tekken 4 is the Windows Vista of the Tekken series, pretty awful but it led to something greater; Tekken 5

I'll throw in KOF 99 and KOF 12. Especially 99 (I'll give KOF 12 a pass). 99 was hot basura, those different forms of Kyo

The only good thing about that game were the introduction of some new cooler characters (Like K', Maxima), and Krizalid the gawd, one of my fav KOF bosses

But yeah evertyhing else was garbage.

Ah man, Street Fighter EX 3 was also a HUGE dissappoint to me. I liked some of the new features, but in the end the game was boring as hell and there weren;t any new interesting things. That series peaked in EX 2 Plus.

EX 3 was a disgrace.
I'd take EX 2 over any IV game any day though.

Sonic 3d Blast was the first time I was ever disappointed in video games. I got it for Christmas, beat it in a few hours, and I knew it sucked.

At that point I was eight years old, and I had played games people today would consider shytty , but this was the first game I ever played that I never wanted to come back to. So to me it stands out. Even Sonic Spinball I didnt mind, I got that on Christmas as well, but 3d blast......

I gotta backtrack and say RE6. I didn't like the action turn the series took with resident evil 5. But it was still a pretty good game. The game play (especially the Co op) was top notch and while it wasn't scary there were still a lot of tense moments. The bosses were dope too. RE6 was trash and completely ruined my Fandom for Capcom. Absolute garbage that shyt was.

My biggest gripe with the resident evil series is that when you play the games they make more questions that just go unanswered. that shyt pisses me off to no end.

3 was good, but that prequel shyt irks. I wanted to play as Solid Snake in an event after shadow moses.

things i liked raiden became a badass, vamp died, the patriots lost. snake vs ocelot. i felt sorry for both of them.

things i seriously hated... snake got fukked over bigtime. couldnt even let the man live out the rest of his life. they screwed him over the worst. otacon keeps loosing bytches. we never get to meet the patriots!!! i mean the A.I. behind it all that wiped the original group out. i want some closure on that shyt!

I hated every Tekken after Tag until Tekken Tag 2 dropped, I still play that game. Also Dead or Alive 5 dope but I was disappointed with that too. KOF hit a rough patch like u said but the las one that dropped was fire. When can we get a new Darkstalkers? Capcom got so many ip's they tossed in bushes
