It's funny how everyone always hated these guys after the fact. I need to know what he's accused of. Being too "huggy," groping ass or actual violent assault/rape.? Since he was fired within 48 hours of the complaint I'd assume it was something serious. But you never know these days.

The lack of apology is interesting though. Usually an apology statement drops then a more detailed one where they remove themselves from public life for awhile. I wonder if he plans to fight back? I want to see what happens when someone challenges their accuser(s).

I used to watch the Today show a lot and kept up with the behind the scenes stuff. Lauer hasn't been liked in a long time by viewers and in the media. When Anne Curry left, that was a big controversy for him and he supposedly played a role in causing Natalie Morales moving to L.A. to go do Access Hollywood. There were rumors a few years ago before that that he even had a thing going on with Morales, so she might have something to say about his conduct. We'll see!

I always like the 3rd hour of Today (which was replaced by that blonde bytch from Fox) with Al Roker, Tamron Hall, Willie Geist & Natalie Morales. They all genuinely seemed the enjoy each other's company and like they were having fun.

I never watch these corny ass morning shows, but i'm surprised people here dislike dude so much.

shyt must be bad for NBC to take immediate action like this....I'd still like the details of what happened to determine if it was misconduct, quid pro quo workplace harassment or assault.

I'm wondering if there are similar numbers in stuffy corporate environments compared to entertainment and political environments where personal relationships play a larger role in getting and keeping jobs than they would in less high profile and traditional industries.

Here’s the reason a lot of this coverage isn’t going anywhere in the short term.

All these stories(except the rape ones)are about people with power abusing it to gain sex or harass women. The average dude in the workplace is on the same level as the women so any harassment wouldn’t be like him whipping out his junk cause he knows he would be fired.

The man installed a button to lock the door of his office from his desk, which if nothing else, proves he was premeditated in his affairs, and his harassment. Just being a serial womanizer doesn't call for the button on the door, that was so he could do things like drop his pants, or proposition women, and lock the door, knowing he was safe.
