I don't see the point of upgrading the PS4 hard drive when you currently cannot use it as a media player the way you could with PS3.

What about the folks that aren't buying games on disc anymore? Also update 1.80 coming August may have the features to put the PS4 on par with the PS3 for media. No harm in being early.

like some have said: people are going digital...not only that, with all the mandatory installs from games, you'll need a larger hd before you know it....

i'm getting a 2tb, cause I don't wanna hook up an external drive....the min I do, watch they come with a 3-5 tb drive that'll fit, smh...

I'll wait then. the 2.5" HDD sizes haven't gotten considerably larger the past few years. I'm still only seeing like 2TB as the max. and I'm not gonna upgrade from 500 to 2TB. I wanna get something like 5TB when I upgrade.

I disagree, the sizes have gotten larger the past few years...only a couple years ago, the largest you could get was around 750, the 1-2tb was 'down the line'....'down the line' was only a year later.....anyway, yea, the largest one you can put in the ps4 right now is a 2tb....but you can hook up external hds as large as 5-6tb....

nobodies goin fukkin digital with games :childplease: fukk outchea

if you buy a digital game your a moron. Not only do you sacrifice the chance to sell your game after your done with it and dont want it, but you also cant let people borrow

Physical media is outdated in everything except games. With games, physical copies are a must.

I'm going straight digital unless I run into a certain sale on a physical game. Just easier for me and I haven't bought a physical ps4 disc this year outside if Infamous.

Gonna get that 2tb seagate probably in October or November cause I can see my 500 filling up around then.

Even if you have the physical copy of the disc, doesn't it still take up just as much space as the digital? I have all physical copies and they take up crazy space.
