So if it turns out to be Nas, its all good again? :usure:

Just take it for what it is, a dope project/experiment

and the Bronson criticisms should've been dead after this track

Ever so often a emcee comes up and a immediate comparison is drawn (call it history repeating itself): When Eminem first came out, underground hip hop heads immediately said he sounds like Masta Ace, when Eminem won a Grammy, in his acceptance speech he gave credit to Masta Ace being a big influence on his style (if you study the cadence and inflections of Eminem's earlier work such as the songs on the Slim Shady LP or Infinite you can tell). You also had the internet going crazy when Angelous came out of the woodwork and was dropping freestyles on Soundclick, and everyone thinking it was Jay-Z using an alias. Couple of years after that who pops up with a song and immediate comparisons to The Notorious B.I.G. spawns........Guerilla Black. Most recent you have had Jay Electronica and the comparisons to Killah Priest and Action Bronson who drew comparisons to Ghostface Killah. ( I Could remember hearing bronson on a Meyhem Lauren mix-tape thinking it was a GFK collabo) Imo, these particular things are going to continue to happen even as time moves forward . ((((If you don't believe me sit back and watch and in a few years someone else is going to be getting comparisons and we are going to be discussing them on TheColi))) Even in the underground there was a member of rap group Lost Children Of Babylon by the name of Breath Of Judah who sound exactly like a early Kool G Rap (think 4,5,6 Kool G Rap)

In a general sense , I think one thing is needed before we point that finger and shake it, like parents who are scolding their children. Evidence. Empirical Evidence. The scales of this debate must be viewed from both sides to bring forth understanding. What proof do we have that this is Nasir outside of it "sounding like Nas"? What proof do we have in it being Your Old Droog? Can using the subject of inflection and stresses he places on certain words/ delivery make him be in fact who he is drawing comparisons to? Imo Jay Electronica sounds like PriestHood, but they aren't one in the same now are they?

I'm listening to this and honestly it sounds like someone using a different engineer and possibly a different type of microphone condenser.
