They only are against certain people having statues though, you think Washington didn't own slaves? Jefferson owned slaves? Most of the early presidents owned slaves or were outright white supremacists and that is going down to the most recent openly white supremacist pre-Trump being Lyndon B Johnson.

Now if these people were really working with respect to black americans, why are they only stopping at confederate generals and politicians, and not saying woodrow wilson, FDR, LBJ, Washington, Andrew Jackson, Jefferson, and more needing to be removed nationally as well.
