i wouldn't even calling it trading any more because volume is down to next to nothing, but banking/finance
if i had a real set of balls and less by the way of financial commitments i would have left the field a long time ago, but there's a lot to be said for a nice base salary and great benefits when you're married w a kid.
i'm trying really hard to transition into a different field but a good part of the education needed for that move it currently being acquired as we speak, so hopefully my intentions pan out as planned.

Show us your art. Art's a hard business...my friend works full time at a corporate job and opened up an art gallery. She used to go to work, then from 6-midnight or so, paint at the gallery. It wasn't healthy. It's tough - unless you commit 100% but then you can't pay your bills *sigh*

At least you're making moves...takes a bit longer to transition when you're already working 9-5

I'm only doing this while I go to school.
As far as switching goes, no, I'm cool for now. The restaurant business has been the best bullshyt job I've ever had.(sans my party promotion days) I plan on staying until I graduate.
