lol sorry?I think I hate the threadstarter.
Mainly because she uses The Coli as an actual message board. Talking to people, not the least entertaining, engaging in actual conversation in a polite and easygoing manner.

Sounds stressfulI've been a RpH for about 3yrs now. I like it, don't love it. Money is excellent but there's a lot of politics & even though retail pays between 100 to 120k ish the stress is just too overwhelming, I did my residency @ CVS & I wanted to cry everyday. But overall it's an ok profession if you can get in the right place for you. It may be retail, hospital, mail order or COE. I preferred hospital.
Sounds stressful
It can be at times. I think the reason my job is so stressful is because the hospital network is so bad. Notoriously cheap, cutting back like crazy, drugs stay on back order etc...
That makes sense. What's your favourite part of your job?
That is rewarding...sounds like it's worth it.Knowing that I played a role overall in patient care. I do a lot of clinical interventions where I sit down with other docs to figure the best course of medicine for each patient in the hospital. For instance if a cardiologist believes that cardizem is best for his patent that has just had a heart attack or tachycardia he would ask for my recommendation.
And since I'm on the medicine side, let's say instead of cardizem I choose a different drug like verapamil or nifedipine & if it doesn't work it's "WWIII" because then everyone has someone to blame if the patient's health deteriorates or dies.
So I have to be very careful on that end & I know that the medicine & course I choose plays a direct role if a patient survives so it's rewarding & extremely stressful on that end plus I work 7on7off so I enjoy that as well.
