He had some OK features but he capitalized off 50's buzz and the whole fascination with bloods/crips that was rampant back then. Overall he was always lacking in the rhymes department to me, his whole image is corny. The way he used to drop names in his songs like a dikkrider was a major turn off.

Yeah, I fell for it, more then I didn't, there was some quality music on his debut, and subsequent releases though, but the catch with the 'marketed image' and push is that it fell apart at some point...sooner then most.
