The #1 Rated Mixtape of all Time
Bout that time again brehs
1. A$AP Rocky - AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP
My most scrobbled album of the year, fantastic project, Rocky came through with this one.
2. Lupe Fiasco - Tetsuo & Youth
Arguably the most lyrical album of all time, twas an amazing comeback from one of the vets in the game
3. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
A masterpiece in its own right, was the second project of the year that touched on racial issues and it did it wonderfully. Not a category this album didn't excel in.
4. Dr. Dre - Compton
If you thought T&Y was a comeback, this album is a down 0-3 Finals surge to win. 16 years in the making. With that in mind, this album feels like something really new and fresh with a very consistent level of greatness from the beats.
5. Travis Scott - RODEO
About as maximalist as his mentor Kanye's MBDTF, there isn't a particularly bad beat on this album. Hell, acoustically its magical what this album gets done. Unfortunately, a lot of what this album is actually has nothing to do with Travis.
(I dikked around with #5 but that's my top 4)
Mentions:
Pilot Talk 3
Black Messiah
You're Dead
Dirty Sprite 2
Pusha T
