This makes me think was Austin and The Rock the most popular heels of all time? All both of them did was heel shyt: drink beer, cussed, shyt talk and middle fingers, random stunners and expensive clothes, much more shyt talking, talking bout eating some wrestlers girlfriend's "poontang pie ", random rock bottom for no reason. Nothing babyface bout any of that, 97-98' Rob Van Dam was in the same boat

When I was younger and The Rock was feuding against Cena, Rock always came off as the heel to me. Especially when he cost Cena the title at WrestleMania.

Meh Adam Rose didn't really have main event potential with that gimmick, maybe Tyler Breeze but that was a flop from the start, they seem to have big plans for Crews but it's wait and see with him. I really think Neville should've been booked better, he proved he could go with the Main Eventer, just watch his match with Rollins. The Four Horsewomen have done fine though.

Breeze is my favorite dude people claim got the shaft on the main roster, when he spent his entire time in NXT being a jobber to the indie stars. His role on the main roster was ALWAYS going to be "comedy midcarder who makes people look good and hopefully keeps his heat", even if he hadn't been pulled up last second with no angle.

Music for shock run-ins. If it's all supposed to be such a surprise why did the A/V crew have the music queued?

False finishes with finishers. NO. Finishers should finish matches 90% of the time - a great deal of near falls could be replaced with move teases, cunning reversals and rope-breaks but if Brock actually gets you on his shoulders and hits you with an F5 you should be staying the fukk down.

The acceptance of poor commentary. Watching Lucha Underground has reminded me how important good commentary is.

I think LU has shytty commentary too, but I fukking hate Matt Striker and have had a long standing grudge against Vampiro since the WCW days. I don't think anywhere is doing good-great commentary right now, on any level of the industry. My favorite is probably NJPW, since I can't understand them to tell if they're talking about random bullshyt, but they SOUND excited.

Striker's shout out to smarks and constant name drops and references are SO out of place on a show that is about an underground wrestling fight club with actual dragons, monsters, time travelers, and ancient spirits. LU should have been its own contained universe from the start. You can't have those fantastic elements while making it clear that this guy was a champ from this promotion and that guy is best known from his time in WWE as XXX. Since LU is more of an action telenovela than a wrestling show, imagine if you were watching Bold and the Beautiful and they were like "Ridge was best known for his time on One Life to Live, where he did A, B, and C before joining our show".

Celebrities winning matches or interfering with matches.

I hate that they prohibit wrestlers from whooping some fans behind for their disrespectful ways. Hitting wrestlers should give them free range to go all in.

It helped make wrestling unenjoyable. Not just spoilers & all that, it gave every fat, dorky, suck@ss, fukkboy a voice. Now everybody thinks they're writers, have the ability to book shows, & just overall wrestling know-it-alls. It's so bad that they use all the terminology used backstage in "the business". I used to love it when everybody was just fans & that's it.
