You're heading to the gym: You sipping on that Pre or some coffee?

Which you sipping on before you get there?

  • That #POWDA aka preworkout

  • Coffee/Espresso

  • I'm a flabbynsick coli breh/brehette and don't go to the gym

  • Just plain water or Gatorade because I'm Bobby Boucher

Ok I took it for the first time today, the tingles are no bueno. My face, lips and finger tips were giving me the crack head itch. There was definitely an element of aggression brewing inside me.

However on my way to the gym, I could feel waves of energy rushing through my body. I imagine it feels like when animals get the zoomies, my legs were light and I genuinely felt like I was about to take flight. I didn’t get to complete my work out but I felt more focused and definitely was more connected to the muscles I was working. Im pissed I didn’t get to finish my work out but will definitely get some cardio this evening.
If you're new to pre-workout you don't/shouldn't be taking a full scoop until your body adjusts. The tingles mean you had a large amount at one time. I would advise doing half a scoop and working your way up to a full scoop over time.

Also you can take a half scoop 20mn beforehand. Then add the other half with 12+ ounces and drink that over the course of your first few exercises.

Please drink a lot of water too.

im a pretty casual lifter, i dont know if i really need to be putting that shyt in my body anyway :dead:

We know and I don't even know what the hell a "casual lifter" is. :mjlol:

Your body naturally makes ≈1g of breatine a day, hardly enough to compare to supplementation, but it's in there. It's also found in meat and fish.

Beta alanine and citrulline are just B and a amino acids, and B vitamins are literally just vitamins.

So of that list what don't you know if you really need to be putting in your body anyway?

Incorrect, good sir.

The paresthesia ("tingles") are simply a side-effect of ingest beta alanine. A #POWDA without BA won't give you that sensation.

Most #POWDA heads also grow desensitized to the feeling over time. :manny:

But the poster is taking pre-workout with beta alanine are they not?

All I did was state what's on the package and what's written here: take less. I never said don't take preworkout.

If the itching does bother you but you like the pre-workout supplement you are currently using, another option is to reduce your dosage. Depending on the timing of supplementation and your body's rate of absorption, a lower amount of the supplement in question may help you avoid most of the negative side effects. If you're currently taking a full scoop of powder, try going down to a half scoop. If you're taking a half scoop, try going with a quarter.

Yeah, you're not tracking yo.

The tingling feeling comes from one specific ingredient. It doesn't...
mean you had a large amount at one time.
^That's the false part. I can pop two g's of BA right now from off my counter and feel some tingles, even without the rest of the #POWDA ingredients. Yes, generally speaking, the more you take at once the more likely you are to feel it. The hell can't they take a whole scoop for? :mjtf:

The tingling/itching is completely harmless and some folks (like myself) may find it even enjoyable. C4 Ripped has a nice, spicy [or hot] tingling sensation that is just :noah: .

The longer you've been taking #POWDA, the less noticeable it usually becomes. So taking less #POWDA (like a half scoop) will actually mean the poster in question will take even longer to adapt to the paresthesia.

Halving (or quartering the dose) also reduces the citrulline and caffeine being taken in too.

It's not really worth doing just to not feel some itching or tingles. If said poster is that much of a p*ssy, they can always cop a pre without beta alanine in it and take a whole scoop like a grown adult. :comeon:

:russ: Most of these pre workout ingredients are safe. They have already been heavily researched. And the only thing you have to worry about. Is dmaa, sucralose, and dyes. Again you can always make your own. The bare minimum you need is caffeine, L-citrulline, beta alanine, and electrolytes.
