I'd like to hear her side of things. My moms kicked my lil brother out several times. He would smoke weed in the house, steal her car, take money out her purse, wouldnt pay rent etc. The last time he wasnt kicked out, he left because he got tired of being told "what to do". He came back crying 2 wks later.

I'm tired of witnessing scenarios where mothers after spending a kids life time failing to provide him with any skills trades positive experiences counseling, feeding them the worst diet of cereal and noodles with pop , allowing the absolute worst of influences around the child then the child turns 18 and you pushing them out the house with no real idea how to provide for themselves.

Your just about guaranteeing that young man to be right back pounding on the door to get back in the house, into doing something illegal out of a necessity for quick earnings immediately considering they will be either homeless or laying bed to bed with whoever will let them stay that night or they will move into the trap house where everyone with no home goes or he will find a woman game his way in and then live off her. Either way you just sent your son into a cycle of failure which only leads to dead ends, jail , dead or fighting with a woman in a house with a ton of kids and no stable work.

What's sad is this mother won't take any responsibility for this failure she will simply blame it on a absent father, make a decision like this under the disguise of "tough love" and the idea of " he got to learn" etc.

It ticks me off as one who does mentorships because this situation is too reoccurring. Lot of mothers who spent more time worrying about nice shoes and video games for they kids instead of showing them how to work hard. Then because they getting tired of the young man being a threat to momma getting a new man so they get eager to throw them out. Smh

What legit good paying job can an 18 year old get in this day and age?

They just finished HS and going to college. They broke as hell and cannot have much ecobomic opportunity without *specific* CERTS, trades that takes 2 to 3 years to complete, and degrees that take 4+ years. Generation Z has legit NO SHOT at building wealth the traditional way anymore.

If that was my son, and he had a falling out with his mother, he would stay with me as long as he behaves himself and builds himself a legit good degree and a legal way to make long term profits. Cause kicking out your child at 18 is asinine in this day and age of limited (traditional) good paying jobs.
