There’s kids out here with mothers who have 6 figure incomes, nice house, their own car to drive as a teen (no car note); who will tell their mothers how it’s not enough or she’s not doing enough, that they’re not shyt bc she can’t afford what he wants at the time bc she’s taking care of his needs first. (And the same would be said if that was a daughter) The child is a reflection of you line is not always the case - there’s times that we need to accept the fact that some children are selfish and ungrateful, social media influences affect their reaction, give them tough love and be free to have their own experiences. But the one difference I would say, is as a mother; that the door is always open if they try and fail, I wouldn’t want my son having nowhere to turn to as long as he demonstrates effort and respects my efforts in doing what I can to help.
