You can make something to do the job of alot of these things including the knife, the tent, the fishing rod and the pot.
The axe is good cause you can make a better knife out of stone than you can an actual modern axe.
The axe is forged from hardened steel and molded perfectly for its job. If you are "sharp" enough, you can sharpen the axe edge to do knife like things. But mainly you can make your shelter and firewood much easier with the manufactured axe. You can skin fish or whatever with a stone tool almost as easy as a metal knife.
Boots is self explanatory. If you grew up in the jungle then maybe you got feet like @Mowgli (the character not the poster. Although, let the poster tell it..). American soldiers escaped from POW camps but couldn't travel thru the jungle cause they had no shoes. You westerners with your tender ass feet would not survive without good boots.
You can make a boat but minus well have a highly engineered durable little boat.
And finally. The flare gun. Maybe you can signal a passing ocean liner, or maybe you have to flare a brown bear in the face once or thrice. Some kind of firearm can't hurt. You'll have a handful of tries but just save em til it's critical.
What the fukc is a phone gonna do? Are you close enough to cell tower to make a fukcing phone call? Then swim your dumb ass toward the cell tower. If you're *STRANDED* you have to be far enough away from civilization that cell phones towers are not where you are.
