Don’t give out game on here

Most people don’t realize the advantages of your own website verses social media once you’re well known ...
That’s not game or really practical.

99% of well known people have a site, but are not using it for broadcasting. Unless it’s a tv channel or something. Also people don’t visit websites anymore.

Even double toasted has moved from using their own site to Twitch.

You’ve never built anything from the ground up. Stop speaking as if you know what you’re talking about.

Believe what you want and stick to what you know ...

Websites are the only real way to completely display your brand and any business without a website is definitely small time and missing potential customers.

Plus it’s the best way to be who you are fully without compromising.

I’m believing what’s being done

Point me to a well known media personality who broadcasts off their website and is getting their traction through there.
We’re not talking about some offering a service or product.

A website is backup and provides direction to your other outlets. Not a main focus anymore.

Yet we’re talking about Tariq, who isn’t just a celebrity/ media personality, He’s selling something. So your qualifiers do not apply in his situation.

People like Tariq should have, and he does have, a website.

What I’m saying applies to any thought leader out there. Other people who know better are making a home-base and making money from websites. If you need an example, let’s take the motivational speaker industry. Name anyone prominent in this industry. They offer snippets of what they have to say on social media but to get the full product you have to go to their website. Also some products are available on Amazon.

Then someone should build a site that aggregates them all on one platform but where they remain independent.

Um this thread is about Jason black. Also Tariq has a site where he sells his products/uploads shows. His broadcasting has been more successful on YouTube/ustream though.

Also your example is “motivational speakers”? I mean uh sure? I don’t really know any motivational speakers.

The fact remains though in this day a website is more a landing page/backup than a main source of advertisement and monetary gain. Yes ofcourse you need a site if you’re going to literally sell a product. But the average person is not going to your website to buy your full podcast. And the average person successfully broadcasting media isn’t doing that.

Someone who figures out YouTube/Instagram/Facebook is going MUCH further than someone who creates a website. You can get a square space landing page and shop set up in 30 minutes. It’s not as special as it was 10 years ago.

It’s the same Adsense and Patreon on your own website

plus the benefit of not being in violation of a million things for posting a video, no flagging and the list goes on for benefits

Just promote it on Social Media
many youtubers grew up seeing youtube so they don't know they can do that, and they're just lazy, they want the same views/money immediately.

No the issue is Youtube pays all the other video sharing sites don't pay. That's why Youtube has the channels

yup
dailymotion was gaining on their ass

Don’t give out game on here

they grew up in the myspace days, youtube/fb etc. are the only things they know
it's the Gen Z version of AOL
they think social media is the internet when it's so much bigger

YouTube is dead man...:beli:

nah, i just watched a guy shaved his girls face, another chick digging dandruff out her hair and am now watching a chick massaging another woman's butt then she farted
youtube be lit

Yeah my bad I meant Jason Black not Tariq ... same field ... and you are basically agreeing with me, you’re just too much in argument mode to see it.
