YouTube isn't even profitable at this point is it? It couldn't afford to have this happen because realistically there's no pratical way to police content on that site on the level advertisers would want. You couldn't employ enough people to review all that content before it goes live.
youtube is extremely profitable despite reports it operates at a loss. From even just a math stand point, they pay their content creators a commission. but even that commission is a low % (like 1%) of what they made from the ad.
they notorious for cooking the books and since its largest site of its kind its hard for people to question otherwise.
they operate at a loss like nfl/nba owners claim they operate at a loss

remember the nba/nfl lock out the players association said well if youre operating at a loss, open your books so we can see what youre really making
