YouTube videos in thread auto playing?

how do we disable this shyt? it’s ruining my coli browsing experience and wasn’t always like this.


edit: My bad lol I thought it was widespread enough I didn’t have to specify

safari on an iPhone 12 and if a thread has a YouTube embed and I scroll by just trying to read, it starts playing, obviously stopping my own music/videos.

it would help to know what browser you're using.

ps. i've only experienced this with embedded videos from reddit on the chrome desktop, I don't browse thecoli on mobile.

For me they autoplay and then let's say another person in the same thread quoted that video then that video starts autoplaying. And let's say someone else quoted it that will autoplay as well. I've clicked on pages and had the same video autoplaying 3 times all echoing cacophonously . I pretty much have to browse the coli with my volume bar as low as possible
