I'm not saying it isn't for most people. But it's a good goal to achieve toward. It's not illegal and it's not hurting anybody.
But if you're racking up 1 million views per video on average you're getting a pretty good salary that year. And that's not including the money made from his twitch. I already posted a link on this thread that calculates what someone might make given those conditions. You can work it, but you really have to utilize everything to make it work for you. You have to have a certain type of personality, you have to push original content regularly, you gotta know how to direct, edit, and shoot video and often from a cell phone.
BUT there's nothing wrong with that. It's not easy or quick. It forces you to build your character, brand yourself which everyone should be doing anyway, it forces to you network, market be creative and be entrepreneurial
if you want to make money with it. There's literally nothing to be mad about. You sound like you would rather him beg the white man for that lifetime 9-5
