for real bro. like who cares if the media was painting it as an inspirational story (mind you i haven't even looked up the original story or watched the video in OP so im just responding to commentary). if it can inspire kids to want to do something similar, why tear it down

Her facts were real, true. But those same facts could literally be applied to any rich white business owner in the US. Why make 2 hour videos about the rare black person that does it instead?
Because US media will act like every ole black person can do this
I'm not one to be pessimistic. But for a black person to do this, it takes some "extra" help then just pulling oneself up from the bootstraps
why does this warrant comment over the millions a white elites doing the exact same. Did she make a video about Miley Cyrus somehow becoming and famous musician despite the fact her father was a famous musician. Is there a video about George W somehow getting into politics like his father.
If her complaint is about nepotism i don't see why it would start here.

Most attention grabbing headlines are negative in nature. Every article that reprinted or added content to the source material mentions her parents early in the story.
Says her parents purchased first McDonald's in 2010....and now own a half dozen. In eight years to go from one to seven for the family is incredible .
I think the story is more complicated than "her old money parents gave her the money for the store". Restaurant franchises are not some of the things that old money Black families tend to get involved with, even if it's a proven franchise.
I'd guess that her parents were self-made middle to upper management corporate types people before they got the first store.
