In my opinion? I suspect they're trying to get a public commitment to create a secure environment for students, knowing that the steps include things like whom alumni associate with and taking a collective stance against certain people.

If she won't commit to that, the next step is getting her to answer on why. As things stand, she is silent on the Cosby matter so they can only assume and grumble. Dragging it out in the public allows them put more pressure on her to talk on the subject, more leeway from them take her words out of context, and more room to put her delaying progress for the sake of a "sex pest" .

It is why I don't trust people on the left. If it was about helping people, they would stick to the issue at hand but it isn't so you see a lot of these corrupt games behind the scenes.

Phylicia Rashad could be a damn flat earthed and I’m still gone smile and shake my head.

Siblings can have differences, get carried away and lose perspective in the moment. She didn't push things when asked to discuss things in doors which leads me to believe she recognised a line was crossed.

She has been careful with her words on the Cosby matter. It is already a point of contention and not one that should be discussed in front of an audience.

As I said though, this is speculation on my part. I know that some of us have a hard time staying on code and have no problem using our issues as a shield for other causes. You can look at how BLM has turned into BTLM.
