middle class is 35k-100k and no even if we use the media the majority aren't working poor, they would tend to squeak out a majority being middle class and above.
Majority of blacks 55% or higher live in the deep south where 35k for an individual is comfortable to live on
so what exactly is your stance? that blacks are doing fairly well for ourselves in terms of income and wealth?

Anybody with that mentality is already given up. They're someone who doesn't truly believe in black empowerment.

timestamp? cus it started @ 25:00 for me and shes talking about government intervention. not begging all random white people on the streets for a handout. also, if you've watched this video in full. you know yvette pretty much won the argument, even though both had decent points.

Its not about being scared to speak on it it's about understanding that whites are going to give us shyt. You are begging because you're not talking about taking.

that makes no sense, but lets go with that. how well did "begging" work for other groups that have fought long and HARD for reparations. idiots calling it begging :heh: it's the HARDEST fight we as a people would ever have in our lives.

how the hell can anyone say the necessary tools for survival in the US were provided during slavery? the fundamental tools to build a thriving economy also includes capital, education/high literacy rates, a defense force, land AND government protection. i mean, are y'all forgetting our ancestors were never given their 40 acres? dudes trying to spit white supremacist talking points at me shrouded in black face. like nikkas just squandered mass amount of opportunities over the century, for no reason other than our own incompetence.

Oh no you don't. The argument was fundamental tools for building an economy NOT survival.

Skillset, family, and community ARE fundamental tools for building an economy - word to the jim crow era blacks who used those very same tools to build their economies in the past.

Then why do you pay taxes if the government ain't suppose to do shyt for you!?!!! Government needs to fix da damn water in Flint!...you suppose to fix it yourself?
You're talking about what somebody "SUPPOSED" to do, instead of recognizing what they are and are not going to do.

But go ahead and keep waiting on the white man to save you because that's the "right" thing for them to do. Don't hold your breath though.

okay, is that somehow better?
Yes it is better, children aren't adults who can provide for themselves and who are suffering as a result of lack of ability to earn income.
I think children is actually an indictment of the mother in most of those instances, who sleep with men with no protection and have children they can't financially support.
Seeing that 70% of the children raised in poverty are of single mother homes.
I would add though it is symptomatic of a real issue that non-blacks are experiencing is the rise of single mothers (while for blacks its dropping) due to subsidization of bad female lifestyle choices via child support and other government services.

so what exactly is your stance? that blacks are doing fairly well for ourselves in terms of income and wealth?
I've said what my stance is, economically black americans are doing well, especially in comparison to a lot of other blacks in this world, hell other people in this world.
Even in wealth accumulation, we aren't bad in a global perspective, the problem that ailes a lot of blacks is personal finance and learning how to save and invest. As for income its too low and most of this is a result of white supremacists who have used regulations to kick us out the job market and cause us to be dependent on white money which will lead to a lifestyle where wealth isn't created and stored.

What did the other groups do to "work long and hard reparations"? What did the Japanese do to force Reagan to give il some reparations? The Japanese people didn't do anything. They weren't out here marching on the streets begging whites for reparations. They had a country backing them up which gave them leverage to negotiate reparations. We don't have any leverage to negotiate with whites. When we did have some leverage in the 60s we sold out for Carnell's ideology. Instead of demandin the 40 acres and a mule to reinvest in our own segregated black communities, we settled for the illusion of inclusion that people like Carnell think is necessary. We really fell for the okie doke thinking that we were actually changing shyt usin the system. It's sad that blacks like you still haven't learned the lesson of the CRM yet.

Boyce actually has black folks who learn from his classes and are starting their own businesses, while Yvette continues to cry for the government to help us.

She makes a lot of good points. Starting a business with no social capital no distribution channels in crowded market place isnt the answer.

Plus some of Boyces ideas and practices are subject :Uptonogood:.

The reason that people like this are so dangerous is that they low key justify c00ning. c00ning is the only logical conclusion to her ideology. If you honestly believe that black people's only hope lies with the government, then why wait for reparations for the entire community? Why not do what you've got to do to get in where you fit in individually, so that you receive some of the systematic benefits that you feel that you're owed? If the government is the only hope then why get at blcks who pledge their allegiance to the system for individual gain?
