The run it made last year was 10000% due to hype and media attention. You had college students taking out student loans and putting it into Bitcoin

Like I said something major would need to happen to rev up the hype train again which is highly highly unlikely. Exactly one year ago it was $16k exactly, one month ago it was $6.4k and now it's at $3.3k. HODL mad af right now. Couldve sold and rebought if anything.

Folks in the loop said that. Your average person had never even heard of Bitcoin until last years hype bubble.

When you got grandma cashing her SS checks and giving em to her grandson so he can buy Bitcoin cause she saw it on good morning America. That's that kind of hype that ain't getting recreated I'm sorry. I even had my sister, who knows jack shyt about investing, coming to me saying we should invest in Bitcoin. Haven't heard a peep from her since it left the media attention though. Once that died off and regular folks stopped paying attention you have what you have now. A collapse although the better word would be correction.

The data link is pretty much in line with the overall value of Bitcoin. Hype lead to price increase which lead to more hype which lead to price increase and now the downfall still being felt a year later.
