If they watched the video...she barely talks about Black Jeopardy...
What she actually talks about is Native Black Culture and how it was an exchange between Black Slaves and White Southerns...
And the case she uses is the sweet potato pie and how Africans back in the day...did not like the sweet potato...but Europeans did....
So her case was in the beginning was...lineage and ancestry is better marker for difference than race as race is an exaggeration of difference.
And Native Black people need to stop exaggerating the difference between themselves and White people because that exaggeration is justification for White people to oppress us.
Then the next part of the episode was about Derrick Bell...

Bro. I dont like when people (especially white people) stereotype us. Its fukked up. But comedy in itself. Regardless of race. Plays off shyt like that. Ok, I don’t agree with your “comedy is comedy.....white people even stereotype themselves” point of view. We have to understand that whites have always weaponized comedy and used it against us. Black face and the minstrel shows was comedy. Jim Crow was originally a black face character created by some white man. Jim Crow started out as fun and games where this white man would dress up in blackface and impersonate a stereotypical black slave. It was all jokes at first until whites used those black stereotypes as justification for terrorizing and oppressing blacks. The Jim Crow joke became legalized overt white supremacy. We can’t afford to play games with whites and negative black stereotypes.
I think that your Dave Chappelle analogy is off too. Dave knows what time it is. Dave walked away from a hugely successful show plus millions after coming to the realization of what I’m saying here. Dave realized that whites weren’t laughing with him and his stereotypical humor, they were laughing at him. His Netflix specials were about him challenging liberal left political correctness and the validity of their ideologies. It wasn’t about him defending negative stereotypical humor that makes fun of black people.
I’m not even saying that we need to boycott nbc or snl over the skit. I’m just calling it out for what it was, c00n shyt. It was a group of black people getting together to perpetuate negative stereotypes of blacks for the entertainment of whites. That skit only reinforces what whites want to believe about blacks and how whites want to see us, which is inferior.
