Don't think he really got a proper look nationally...The Get Throwed hook was prolly his best chance for people to be exposed to him...beefing with Rap-A-Lot hurt him, plus he's from that pre-internet era of the game...it's easy for acts like him to get lost in the regional scene
No doubt, was trying to post a few examples of his superiority but not letting me post youtube links at the moment so maybe someone else can oblige. Real dudes who been through real shyt can relate to Z-Ro though, he's deep and extremely talented, he's MAD underrated to me. And yeah on the mic even technically he's underrated, he can spit aswel as make dope great music.
What happened with him and Rap A Lot? Z-Ro could/can be huge with the right promo he's got that street edge plus the singing ish and the bangers are marketable too. What's his situation like currently?
Idk breh, Ro is in my top 10 of all time, but I get tired of hearing about his problems over and over. i like both rappers a lot but i prefer drake's actual SONGS and production. z-ro is the better rapper and singer and his fukk you attitude can't be beat. he exudes lots of talent and it's a shame he has had so much trouble with drugs and jail but i can't finish a whole z-ro album while i can listen to a whole drake one straight through. after pimp c, z-ro is my favorite southern rapper (both dudes have tons of musical talent that shines through).

Ro speaks about a lot of other shyt too, even on that new tape in the original post, Stalker/Porcupine lol. But I guess it's moods, I love that shyt cause it's mad relatable when your going through real shyt and can be therapeutic. But I definitely feel Ro is much deeper content wise. Even his girl type songs are ill.
