Cats letting that Kostya Zu shyt fog their memory/set a narrative. Would def be interesting at the lower weight. I'd pick Zab but if it goes to later rounds than Bud, but had problems with lesser boxers and Zab could crack.
Tszyu fogged up memory? :heh: Zab got whipped by Baldomir in his prime

It would go like every Zab fight against elite fighters. His speed would surprise Bud for the first 3 rounds and he’d throw that counter uppercut that might catch Crawford once or twice, but once Crawford got the timing down and realized Zab is a one trick pony the beating would commence until Zab quit or got ko’d.

Zab would be a pretty heavy underdog.

Crawford is simply a higher level fighter. After taking some time to adjust to Zab early on, I think he’d control the fight and Zab would go into a shell.

I’d rather match Crawford up with fighters higher in caliber. For example, some of the guys at 140-147 in the 80s and 90s: Curry, Benitez, Whitaker, Shane, JCC, Ike, etc….

I think this was largely due to network issues and timing.

Floyd was with HBO, Tszyu with Showtime.

Floyd left 135 for 140 in May 04’, aiming to get the WBC 140 lb belt from Gatti (an HBO guy, easier opponent, and more marketable). Tszyu was inactive from January 03’ until November 04’.

I do hate this though when people try to use an interview of a fighter “calling out” another fighter as “proof” that someone actually wants to fight another. There’s actually one on YT relating to this issue.

This isn’t grammar school kids scheduling playground fights lol.

Fights are made with lawyers and contractors.

Baldomir wasnt no scrub

:mjlol: how did/or why would Floyd duck Tszyu? There wasnt any clamoring or need for that fight, Hatton beat the shyt out of Tszyu and we know what Floyd did to him.

And Tszyu had problems with boxers like Sharmba Mitchell, 2nd fight one could say Mitch wasn't at his best but that 1st fight Tszyu was on his way to an L before dude fukked up his knee.

baldomir was very ordinary and he wasn't supposed to beat Zab...at all...if zab cant beat a baldomir, he has a VERY good chance of getting his ass beat by crawford
Styles makes fights yall know this, Crawford doesn't have the best defense and Zab would definitely be live first 6 rds easy

Zab would be competitive for 3 or 4 rounds until Crawford figures him out and starts to time him coming in to engage. After that i believe he would cruise to a points win and maybe even a knockout if he pressed for it.
