My answer is no.
And you can't pay Ricky unless he miraculously discovers a stroke. The playoffs are not an option for the roster as presently constructed. They have to do a legitimate rebuild. Do I think the people in positions of power and influence can do so given their track records? Not really. But I like a few of the pieces (Lavine, Dieng, Bazz) moving forward. I wouldn't want Ricky running my team. His inability to score scares me.
If none of them can carry a team, then they'll just lose together before their time is up.
If they can't make it back to the playoffs, then you're proving my point about this organization. They can't afford to have a legitimate rebuild. Flip can't do it. The only people that should be rooting for a rebuild are people like me who wouldn't fukk with this team without a guy to build around and people who really want the Sonics back. It'll be a while, but 2032. If the mentality is to pray the lotto gods shine on your dumb asses and pray some of these young gifted teams fall off, you'll be waiting forever. Sixers fans can deal with a long term rebuild. They've seen recent success. You can't expect Wolves fans to do the same. They'll just tune the team out completely.
