Numbers can lie, but Russ absolutely looked at least competent with Payton.

At this stage of the game, Zach Wilson is more talented than Russ. It also seems like a real Sean Payton move to tell a team "your coaching is ass" then make it a point to prove that by taking that team's former QB and making him into something worth a damn.

Will this happen? I don't know. But Zach is in a better situation right now than he had ever been in with the Jets.

Zach has better arm talent right now than Russ. Zach has better arm talent than multiple starters in the league.
