We have already had a faithful re-telling of the Arthurian myth in the 1981 film Excalibur (that one stayed close to the Mallory version of Arthur while weeding out a lot of the unnecessary stuff) and unless he can bring something more to the table that better visuals I would suggest he chill on this one.
Or at the very least make sure he collaborates with a good writer who can flesh out the concepts and the script because Snyder tends to lose his way when he goes outside of his wheelhouse as a visual storyteller and tries to handle writing duties on his movies.

If you've ever watched hannibal if you go back and watch it you'd find out mads mikkelsen and hugh dancy are both in this. In fact Mads has the best character in that shyt, He was like a mongol warrior but for some reason fought like a samurai.
