My point is Kendrick does numbers.... and also Future does numbers... Why would they "need" to talk about Drake to do numbers? They both consistently do numbers and Kendrick is dissing Drake and Cole for reasons that have nothing to do with sales.
If Kendrick cared solely on sales he would put out more music that's quote en quote "commercial"
The guy I was discussing this with is a #1 Drake groupie going on a decade so I don't expect any kind of logical discussion but I'm still going to make my points.

I don't believe they called Kendrick and begged him to diss Drake on their project. Kendrick was going to do this at some point and they are fine with it because they don't like him.

Because future hasn't had a #1 song without Drake. His first one has Kendrick dissing him who also hasn't had a #1 outside of this, the Taylor song and humble which now everyone considers a diss.

People literally pointed out that the two recent singles him and baby keem dropped that didn't go #1 to highlight why this may be a lil different. It is what it is. And even one of those were a Drake diss and a remix of his beat.

I already addressed all of this. Kendrick has several #1's whether it be singles or albums and this is an album thread so if we are talking about sales, then we can certainly talk about albums in an album thread.
Also.... when does Kendrick ever chase sales? Here's the answer - He does not. He writes and makes music about what he PERSONALLY wants to write and make music about and whether it's a huge hit or not isn't really that big of a deal to him.
Why do we know that? Because he dropped a "commercial" album to prove a point that he can do that too whenever he wants to do it.
