Sami Zayn will never be a world champion in the wwe.
I don't think any Zayn fans have "World Champion" in mind when they think about Sami. He wasn't even that in the indys and everyone was fine with it. He just needs a platform to show his skills and he'll be over and contribute to make any show he's on better

Nah i just want a reason to watch. I don't even watch WWE anymore, I don't know how you guys do it. When i watch wrestling i just want to watch good story lines with good charterers like Shawn vs Bret or Flair vs Sting. if i want a good "wrestling" product ill just watch Japanese wrestling where they do it better.

Zayn might be one of the most sympathetic babyfaces they have at the moment. The only other people close to him in that lane are Bayley and Becky, even though Becky is getting close to :brehnamedstang:levels of naivety in choosing friends.
They did a good job in establishing his storyline with Owens (Or just copying it from all the Indies they were in together) and his character. The live audience is obviously entertained by him too.
It's just too bad that there's absolutely no-one on the roster who could do with a change of character, who could get instant heel heat by befriending him then beating the living shyt out of him

Zayn is one of the few indie guys I haven't seen the IWC say "He should be World Champ now!" because he doesn't scream World Champ and not being World Champ won't hurt his credibility. He is the type of guy I can see being a 5x IC Champ tho and still be a very popular guy.

No need to be shotgunned to the strap yet, but like I've been saying before and in the Raw thread last night, he's the next likely wrestler to have something close to a Daniel Bryan movement.
Easily has the highest sympathetic babyface: skill ratio. Dude is just a magnet for emotion in his matches. He's already got the built-in foil with Owens too, so the blueprint's ready. A few ladder matches, a reluctant tag title reign here, a family involvement there....it's a done deal.
