Well, Biden/Congress knows what they're doing, although I'm not a supporter of these methods, I do kinda get why the US has been a helping hand for Ukraine.
Y'all gotta understand that America is all about global perception, wanting to look good in the eyes of the world, which means doing shyt like sending billions of dollars to aid another country is a plus for the country and believe it or not Biden's presidency and reelection chances.
America is all about image and political gains, through which this would be considered as positive propaganda for the people that's watching throughout the world. A segment of us may not care care about these things but politicians do and know how it'll benefit them in the long run

Ukraine is not of any geopolitical use to us. Russia is not gonna be stupid enough to invade nato countries this triggering his own demise so this whole Russia is gonna be the new imperial Japan /Nazi germany shyt is cap. Nah, the USA gives a lower % of its budget in foreign aid than the vast majority of developed nations, and what it does give is mostly military aid. If the USA cared so much about perceptions then it would do a lot more.

The USA only gives if it helps the USA. In this case, they don't really give a shyt about Ukraine, their goal is to weaken Putin so that he is less able to threaten US allies, less able to interfere with other US foreign policy objectives, and partially as payback/warning for hacking American sites and interfering in American politics.
