Both games are legit breh. I went into 999 blind and was blown away...so I figured VLR couldnt live up to my hype but it did. :lawd:
Them not hitting up Kickstarter yet is weird. I know quite a few ppl that would drop some serious cash to get a 3rd installment of this series.

This would be one of the worst unresolved gaming trilogies ever. I hate this... Maybe in another timeline :troll: ?

There's 2 things I pray for every day in Geekdom.

1. For the second part of White Album 2 to animated.
2. For Zero Escape 3 to happen.

Apparently the boys of GAF seem to believe $2 might actually happen.

Spike Chunsoft been making the Danganronpa games, right?
Both have a lot of similarities. Enough so that I'm fine if that don't make another 999/VLR if they keep making DR visual novels.

:what:??

No.. They're nothing alike in tone and execution. They merely both occupy the visual novel genre and that's it.

People trap in an area where death is certain and it's orchestrated by an animal.

I'm not putting the games down, damn

The characters couldn't be more different though

DR characters are straight up anime tropes at times and proud of it :pachaha:

I like that they take shots at otakus that like little girls.

Yeah but I'm not talking about characters; just the basic premise

Not really. The "trap" in the 999/ZE games aren't set in stone and the story have branching narratives and some people might survive/die as opposed to DR where there's a set story in place that doesn't change regardless of actions and every player sees the same thing.

Plus I see Danganronpa more so like Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney when doing class trials. Zero Escape has difficult puzzles that Danganronpa doesn't have at all and also there's no "animal" orchestrating any of the games(if you beat them you'd know this.)

Bruh, I'm not talking about specifics. The games take place in a general area and they are forced to place this "game" where people die in hopes to survive. Both have an animal telling them rules and fukking with them.

There's no animal in 999 though and if you beat 999 you'd see it wasn't a mere game they were playing when you put the story together. It only appears like so at first. zero escape yeah it has some ai rabbit talking shyt but then you see the gigantic twist once you reach a certain branch in the game that's mind blowing :wow:.
