whats funny is good coaches like sean payton understand that concept. sean payton was running the ball all day long in offs against saettle...and saints were in a closer game than the broncos or saints in the first game against seattle of last season

but on the coli idiots will say 'oh hes not airing it out, hes timid/p*ssy/other garbage'. its common sense but everyone wants the qbs to be the heroes and air it out against seattle just like they do against garbage defenses :heh:

:wow: Yeah, we were in the game by running the ball until Ingram  by fumbling in our own territory (which led to a Seahawks TD).

The touchdown was on both. Sherman got beat expecting safety help. Kam deserves blame for getting beat, but Sherman was still running stride for stride with Roddy.

If you look at the video in its entirety, it's backing up what i said to do: Attack SEA and you will get yards. Sherman got attacked, he won some, he lost some and we missed a few passes (Matt was late on an inside post route to Roddy that should've gone for a TD in the first half)
To me on the TD it looked like that wasn't Sherm's responsibility but he went after Roddy late to try and at least make a play. Either Way Roddy only had 2 catches on Sherm and I don't think Julio had any, to me he personally shut them down that's me though. So in the premise of the thread people trying to down play Shermans skills are being ridiculous. And a top flight QB like A-rod admitting he was avoiding Sherm is a testament to that. No matter who Sherm was covering last night Rodgers was going to Avoid him :manny:

If these bytch ass Falcons were consistent in the playoffs or had a defense :whew:
Or a had a offense that played at least 3 and half quarters. I don't think the offense scored that whole second half except for the game winning field goal. Same ol' Falcons just scraping by. Then most of the fan base want to know why they aren't getting respect when they go 13-3 it's because they don't impose what little will they do have and I don't even respect them and they are my team. Can't even remember a Falcons game where I walked away impressed with how we played

What Revis was doing pre-injury is head and shoulders better than anything Sherman has done. He actually was taking the top receivers playing out of the game week in and week out...with no pass rush whatsoever. That said, Sherman's good...but I think he's overrated.
No pass rush, barely any safety help (Jim Leonhard and 1 year of a good Kerry Rhodes was all he had).

Revis was so good, that he made Cro look like crap because of the sheer volume of times you HAD to test Cro

and the thing is there was a definite pattern last year

any game hawks lost or barely won was where opposing team had a run game going

hell, the same ATL fans that keep talking about attacking seattle through the air prolly dont remember how a huge part of that playoff win was getting 160+ yds on the ground from bum ass michael turner and rodgers to nearly 7 yards per carry average :heh:

don't get me wrong, Sherman is hella good, but Revis pre-injury was probably the best shutdown corner since Primetime. put him on the other teams best receiver and forget about it.
