Of course not, and no Republicans in the Senate will vote for it either (meaning it'll fail). Unless Biden can get Manchin/Sinema to get rid of the filibuster (which is unlikely) it's DOA.

Don't understand why anybody would even humor the idea that Republicans would ever vote for this. Gerrymandering/voter suppression is their main method of retaining power.

It seems like Dems have given up on getting rid of the 'buster. That also means they are ok with losing every national election going forward.

Yup, Republicans haven't been voting in good faith for anything with Democrats in power for years. That's why it makes no sense for Manchin/Sinema to stand on their high horse saying how they want to uphold true democracy when going against the foul ass Republicans. It would be different if Republicans showed some flex on Democrat lead bills but even shyt like recovery they've been voting against.

Why bother reaching across the isle then? It seems like they do a lot of negotiating to add stuff to a bill they will never vote for, and Democrats will still put it out like that instead of just passing it they way they wanted in the first place.
