Wilt forced his way off the Warriors after 4 years.

Kareem forced his way off the Bucks after 4 years.

Magic said he'd stay in school another year if the Bulls got the pick cause he didn't want to play for them.

Webber forced his way off the Warriors after just 1 year.

Shaq left Orlando after 4 years.

Kobe's agent told teams that he wasn't gonna play for anyone other than LA.

Marbury forced his way out of Minny after 2 years.

Boozer lied to the owner so he could duck out of Cleveland after just 2 years.

Charles Barkley, Vince Carter, Baron Davis, Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Russ Westbrook, and James Harden have all forced trades before their contracts were up. And I ain't even counting the "amicable" ones like Drexler, Mourning, Ray Allen (both times), Garnett, Carmelo, etc.

But LeBron, who finished two contracts with Cleveland and gave them the first 7 years of his career, who has never forced a trade and played out every contract for the team he signed them with, is supposedly the reason that players don't keep their deals. Right.

I swear some of y'all wouldn't even know how to talk basketball if Bron didn't exist.

This is a good example. Back then I bet Chris Webber was thinking Golden State was an absolute sh*thole backwater team. Now it’s one of the most highly valued sports franchises and a destination spot. Zion could do that for New Orleans. Him, Zo and Ingram are just a “Chris Paul and a few veterans” away from a deep playoff run. New Orleans has the French Quarter, Bourbon St., clubs, restaurants, bars. History, culture, scenery, museums. WTF wouldn’t want to play there? Acting like it’s an ass city to be at when black people, tourists and college kids go there every year specifically to get fukked up :dahell:

It ain't the city, it's the fukked up organization of the Pelicans. Dude is wasting prime years there.

By 4 you mean outta contention for a playoff spot by game 4 of the season?
By 4 i mean
Cavs over Brooklyn in 4
Cavs over Atlanta in 4
Cavs over Milwaukee in 4
Cavs of the Western Conference champ in 4

When the Akron connection bring Cleveland a title :blessed:

The Truth
It’s to early in his career to be doing this.

Like someone else said he sees Luka, Trae Young, and Ja Morant cooking in the playoffs and he wants a taste of that.

We do have an incompetent front office, but I can tell a lot of these guys aren’t accustomed to dealing with any type of adversity or failure. There default is to automatically try to run to another situation. He has some talent around him and there is room for us to get some more pieces soon. Play out your rookie deal before you start doing this.

In 2-3 years if the team has not improved enough to get to the playoffs and make a respectable run then you have some decisions to make, but right now this isn’t it, although I do understand some of his frustration as a fan of this team and organization.
I believe this too but I know you saw the end of their season

These dudes blew leads and lost like crazy and that to me was incompetent coaching. Adams was cool as far as being a gritty big but they needed people that could run and shoot. Bledsoe was worse than Jrue during that period (plus trying to make Jrue the number one option when he was never that didn’t help).

Zion needs to give it one more year at least because Tre, Luka, Ja, etc., weren’t all cooking in the playoffs at first either

I could see Zion leaving when his contract is up especially if they continue to miss the playoffs.

He's too talented to be wasting his best years for a team that's still despite the pieces they have are nowhere near being a playoff team and his family knows this.

This reminds me of the Kawhi situation in San Antonio with him and his uncle being displeased with management/the trainers.

The teams being dropped here dont have Solid FOs either...when ur a Top 3 Pick, youre gonna play for a Bad FO anyhow:yeshrug:

True which is why I see them trying to get him outta there…

I think in 3 yrs minimum all they can really hope for is to be squeaking into the playoffs ..

This off-season will be a good true test for their front office

as a fan I love front office pressure
