Wilt forced his way off the Warriors after 4 years.

Kareem forced his way off the Bucks after 4 years.

Magic said he'd stay in school another year if the Bulls got the pick cause he didn't want to play for them.

Webber forced his way off the Warriors after just 1 year.

Shaq left Orlando after 4 years.

Kobe's agent told teams that he wasn't gonna play for anyone other than LA.

Marbury forced his way out of Minny after 2 years.

Boozer lied to the owner so he could duck out of Cleveland after just 2 years.

Charles Barkley, Vince Carter, Baron Davis, Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Russ Westbrook, and James Harden have all forced trades before their contracts were up. And I ain't even counting the "amicable" ones like Drexler, Mourning, Ray Allen (both times), Garnett, Carmelo, etc.

But LeBron, who finished two contracts with Cleveland and gave them the first 7 years of his career, who has never forced a trade and played out every contract for the team he signed them with, is supposedly the reason that players don't keep their deals. Right.

I swear some of y'all wouldn't even know how to talk basketball if Bron didn't exist.

Context - Kareem & Wilt were arguably the to players in the NBA at that time. Magic is hearsay. It's alleged that Zeke said similar about any team other than Chi.

Webber in GS was a power struggle with Nellie running small ball...banging Webber up, so the organization said FUKK HIM. Mind you, he never even played with Timmy. Shaq was a popularity contest, since he felt he was the best big in the game at that time, yet Penny was more popular. Shaq wanted his own team.

Kobe had no pull. Steph was jettisoned because the team decided to go with KG and they couldn't stand each other. Boozer agreed to resign THEN got that mega deal from Utah, and reneged. And even then, he wasn't even on that level to matter.

Zion isn't the best player in the league. His team hasn't even made the playoffs, in 3 seasons played 83ish games, and he hasn't proven much out of a draw they can't fully capitalize on. He's not even averaging a double double. Secondly, what team can he go to that won't be the same ish? You can't pair him with another superstar or proven all-star. Who's team would it be? He can't even take the reigns from BI. You give him his own team, and he once again has to be apart of a rebuilding process which will take years to figure out who to pair him with.

I knew this was coming though. Al of these entitled players that haven't earned anything yet, will make it hard for any team trying to build something. No one has any patience. At this point he needs to sit, watch, listen and learn, while continuing to improve.

It wasn't no hearsay, Magic said it publicly in 1991 during the Lakers/Bulls Finals. :heh:

This Decision Was Beyond Coin Flip

Magic Johnson would have returned to Michigan State rather than play for the Chicago Bulls.

“I’d have stayed in school,” he said here Tuesday, standing alone outside Gate 3 1/2 of Chicago Stadium, the house that could have been his. “A coin toss changed the course of my whole life.”

Chicago called heads in a 1979 coin flip with Los Angeles for the No. 1 pick in the NBA college draft. It came up tails.

Johnson signed with the Lakers after his sophomore year of college and proceeded to win five championships. The Bulls picked second, took UCLA’s David Greenwood and have won no championships.

“I wouldn’t have played here,” Johnson said on the eve of Game 2 of the NBA finals between his team and the team that could have been his. “The only reason I came out was to play with Kareem and the Lakers.

If he waited to come out the next year instead like he says he would it would have been Golden State with the #1 pick, he would have been in San Francisco with Bernard King, World B. Free, and Purvis Short. Woulda been a weird all-offense all-perimeter team much like a juiced version of those early 90s Golden State teams, they would have racked up a ton of points but had no center/inside presence and absolutely no defense at all.

Magic probably woulda gotten AIDS earlier too. :to:

If he doesn't want to be on the Pelicans, then let his rookie contract play out and sign elsewhere as a free agent.

Isnt A-Rod tryna to get the Wolves to Seattle??

A-Rod posted on Instagram that he wants to keep the Timberwolves in Minnesota. How long is anyones guess? It's more money for the league if they create an expansion team rather than outright moving a current team to another city.

I can believe the rumor though as Benson seems more concerned with running the Saints than the Pelicans, which is where I think that Zion hit-piece truly originates from. They got Griffin running the whole show as he pleases with no oversight from ownership.

Who ever said this? When she became the owner she literally spent crazy money putting in medical staffs and other staffs.

she is focusing on the team as much as any owner outside probably mark cuban.

they hire people do run the day to day. Zion needs to figure out how to stay in shape

Rumor: If an NBA teams is going to move cities it would be Pelicans
Hollinger: As NBA's coaching carousel turns, Pelicans' choice as crucial as any

The original report came from the Zion hitpiece. It hasn't been discussed in this thread as the entire article wasn't posted I believe.

Team not going anywhere tho. I bet big money on it. She’s not gonna sale that shyt and risk all her business in New Orleans tanking. Not to mention nba wants a team in New Orleans as they do in the nfl

New Orleans has the most all star breaks since hornets came to New Orleans, New Orleans also has the most Super Bowls
