His conditioning was fine last night, like I said..

dude wasn’t even gassed but would be the only nikka hooping only to get taken out with 6 minutes left in the quarter

They was sitting a lot of dudes while we sat a watched Melli miss like 4 wide open 3’s that Zion gave him.

on top of making Bogdonavich look like second coming of Kobe too
He played 21 minutes, of course he wasn't gassed. I think his knee is worse than we've been told but the hype is too high and the Pelicans can't get away with shutting him down.

:dahell: If hes hurt nobody would fault them for shutting him down. There would be nothing to "get away" with.

ask yourself if you see this fatass carrying a team on his back as the main guy for the next 10+ years?

honestly I feel like he'll be lucky to have a Blake Griffin trajectory. he even started off his career with a knee injury like Blake. he will put up numbers, have an impact, always injured, gets traded to bolivia and is forgotten. that's the best case I see for him. the worst
case brehs :francis: I don't even want to go there

it's just not sustainable to be his size, be that athletic and have a long healthy career.

He's marketed as the heir to LeBron, a GOAT-tier player with an incredible durability streak. Leaves (some) fans more hopeful to make it about "conditioning" and "rest" than to shut him down after such a limited rookie year and send the message that he's more Blake Griffin than LeBron James.

Whats the pelicans end game here?

Its not like they need to rebuild in the draft. They got a large young nucleus already. They treating zion like they trying to cover something up. Dude be out there ballin but they afraid he gonna jack up his knee or something.

We're not winning the championship this year.

This ain't "Should we play KD in the Finals" type of issue.

I get it, Zion don't look good and we've been waiting for him. But, blame COVID-19.

He looked fine before the season ended. The stop and go is what prolly scares them.

It ain't worth it. But, they need to keep it real.

exactly, playoff experience is great for a young team
Ideally for sure, but only if the environment is conducive to learning.

As it stands, getting dog-walked 4 straight blowouts by the Lakers as a 1/8 matchup ain't gon do nothing for them. Maybe if Zion wasn't still fat and fragile. Or if they had a system and defensive identify in place to build off of, with a competent coach that would still be around past this off season.

Off topic, but i feel the same about Orlando. They ain't doin nothin with that roster. Vuecic is 8 seasons in, 29 yrs old, and needs to bounce to some fringe contender to be the "Pau Gasol" of. Or at least the "Jusuf Nurkic" of. They made the playoffs last year, may make it this year, it ain't moving Orlando closer to anything.
