Blake Griffin, Embiid, and Ben Simmons all missed their first seasons. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few more.

People overreacting.
thats a bad list minus big ben. blake injury prone, embid injury prone.

lets hope Zw is not the same as those 2 guys when it comes to injuries. i dont think thats the case. and his weight aint the reason yall. he just got to the nba. weight causes those issues once you start playing a full nba season which is longer than you've ever played before. that will show you what your body can handle or cant handle.

I remember when Kobe post shaq put that extra muscle on and he was noticeably bigger up top. i said then, that dude will cause himself knee problems. he gotta cut that back down. he was killing dudes with the extra size but it did make him noticeably slower. he cut that weight downt he following year due to a desire for more quickness and having more knee problems due to the extra weight. but thats a guy that was born on skinny stilts for legs. zion does not have stilts. he's naturally a big dude all around like karl malone or bron. usually those true big boys dont have injury issues like that. i ididnt say fat boys. Big boys. But i agree i would rather have him at 265 personally. and i think he would too. but that will come with that nba workout and a professional/personnel chef.

Good post, but disagree with the first part.
Since the first day of camp, Zion has been training & playing at a faster pace and against higher caliber talent than he did in college. NCAA rules limit practice time.

He might be hitting a wall now before the actual season starts, and hit more walls over the course of a full season.

Remember he was injured in summer league , and sat most of that out.

injured in summer league, injured in pre season............wait until the regular season starts
