You guys need to relax, I didn't attack anyone. You're all acting defensive AF but none of you guys have mentioned this important part of modern African American "culture" I'm missing. My OP was to address people taking about she's ignorant if she thinks AA culture consists of hip hop anf Tyler Perry when in reality she was right. Nothing was racist about my post and no I don't use AA culture because I have mine.

Shame on Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz,always assumed he was probaly a c00n but Lisa was on the Cosbys and A Different World.....Guess she took nothing from that and it was just work...shes as lost in real life as she was on the show....i do feel bad for blacks who grew up with c00n parents,and around all white people....at least she has an excuse for her assimilation....its alot of blacks who spend they lives trying to assimilate and "fit in".,trying to measure up to white folks standards.

It doesn't matter if she is white one day and black the next day, if you have no talent you will get no work if you are black. It doesn't work the same way that it works with white hoes. These black women will have to learn one day. This mixed hoe is trying to land a role that will never come cause she think her looks and her family name will get her in, but its not the same way with women who have black in them. She realized in that moment that she is still considered a non white no matter how straight she wears her hair or how many white boys she dated.

She got box braids and dated a mixed dude for a couple of months saying that was her way of "identifying with her blackness" but she mustve gotten uncomfortable, so she's died her hair blonde and got another white boyfriend.

She's a product of her upbringing - she said that her dad had her attend an all white private school in Miami - and her grandma Roxie married a white man and her mom She herself said that the white kids in her high school always assumed that she listened to rap and watched Tyler Perry films, so she felt like she had to prove them wrong by hanging out with them more

Very interesting information but I don't follow these people or Hollywood so I didn't know any of that I was just going from what I read seeing the OP. Well if that is the case I hope she does well. Good thread thou. I shall dap thee.
