I watched it and liked it. If you're interested in the full story read this its kinda adds to it zolavsjess

Basically everyone is crazy and this whole story is getting a full view of the people that'd show up on Jerry Springer back in the day.

It was entertaining....especially for a cable movie.

I was in Tampa this past summer so the scenery was very familiar.

The place is also filled with strip clubs and cac tricks

I was on a Korine marathon the other week and couldn’t help but feel this film is like a spiritual successor to Spring Breakers, especially with both being set in Tampa and the themes of sexual exploitation running rampant in their stories.

I enjoyed Zola way more though. The amount of dread felt during that final act took me back to Uncut Gems.

So is this real or a made up story?
Most of it is pretty true to the Twitter thread it’s based on. The thread actually happened in real life.

Would’ve liked this way more had the film included an epilogue to cap it all off, as the ending did feel a bit abrupt and left me hanging. There are some tweets in the thread that detail the aftermath.

I read the entire story before, I mean is the actual story the girl told real and the people she mentioned, like the Zeke guy who got arrested for trafficking that was all over the news like she said. Or is it all something she "made up"?

I watched it again last night and I realized what I didn't when I seen it at a premiere.

I like the movie but it feels much longer than it is and its not even on for an hour and a half.

the movie is based on tweets, a quick way of getting your point across. the dialog should've been better and snappier or the movie should've had a better pace to it. it needed to be more frenetic, an immersive pace to it. especially considering your seeing it through Zola's POV but you never get it.

Spring Breakers, Florida Project and Zola all feel like some sort of trilogy by A24
