I don't believe in God, at least the one from the major religions. . . but it's shyt like this that makes you think ain't no way in hell there's a higher power, at least one who gives a shyt about us.
The world is mostly a miserable place. You have to wonder how people like billionaires feel about themselves when they watch videos like this. Probably just fine, but how could you?
I hear people saying this, but they're always talking about other people. Are you glad you're alive? Do you have reasons to keep going every day? Do you get any joy out of life, do you love anyone, does anyone love you?
Most people, even the very poor, even those who are suffering for one reason or another, still find joy and love in their lives every day. They still are happy to be alive.
I've spent time in slums across the world, and no one should have to live that way, but at the same time the large majority of people are finding reasons to be alive every day. The global suicide rate is 0.01%, and it's lower in a lot of poor countries than it is in the rich ones. 99.99% of people want to live, even though there's a relatively easy way out, which makes me think that despite all the depressing shyt the world isn't as bad as we make it out to be sometimes.
What you say about billionaires is truth though. And it goes for a lot more people than billionaires. If you have love and empathy in your heart, and you see people living this way, then I think you SHOULD make it a major part of your life to try to make the world better. If you're living life, and you're not helping the suffering, how can you really be satisfied with what you have without giving a little bit of your humanity away?
