That and LeBron needs to realize fukk the other guys having big games. He needs to have a big game as well or be better.

Just like against the Mavs when he was watching Wade cook :ehh:....thinking I'll get mine eventually :yeshrug:

Then look up and oh shyt I can't turn it on :picard:

Don't fall in love with dishing out a bunch of passes to shooters shooting 3s....Especially against Golden State. :dame:

This exactly.

Lebron's major "fault" has ALWAYS been his overwillingless to let his teammates cook when one or more of them is having s great stretch. This isn't a lack of "killer instinct" so much is it is simply Bron following his instinct of what good "team ball" is. Lebron understands that the Cavs ONLY chance to win the title is for his TEAM to play well while he leads. For all the talk of Bron going Super Saiyan we know that over potentially 7 games that's not a sustainable level of play (against a team like GS) so Lebron is still content with Love once in awhile remembering he used to be a legit double double main guy in MN and Kyrie know he's capable of taking over a game, I mean look at tonight

TT had a GREAT game
Love had a GREAT first half and an aight second half
Kyrie had a GOOD game with a GREAT late game stretch
JR showed up to play
Shump and Korver had decent showings

They got to that 20 point lead and Bron just switched it off, thinking this would be one of those games where TEAM BALL proved its dominance. I bet he was already rehearsing his post game praises for TT and Kyrie, coupled with a healthy lack of respect for the Celtic's chances without IT. And like Charles said it was the PERFECT blend for an upset once the Celts went the "go down fighting" route and Smart unleashed his inner G.

Bron can't take NO nights off, for ANY reason, and I'm glad tonight hipped him to that fact. He's GOT to keep the "on" switch ready to go at a moment's notice. That doesn't mean don't trust Kyrie and the gang or let them have their moments, but it DOES mean that YOU are the best player on earth for a reason and the other teams aren't scared of any of those players. They are scared of YOU and you've gotta keep your foot on the gas

Went to sleep at halftime...

:martin:

This is simply an inexcusable, unacceptable loss.

Blow an 18 point lead when your next opponent is GSW, brehs.

Looking like it's gonna be Warriors in 5...

Golden State are seen as the favorites again due to the addition of Durant. It's just up until the Cavs lost, they could be seen as possibly being slightly better. In my opinion, it's 50/50. That being said, it's hard to say that either team is an underdog due to their overwhelming strengths.

LeBron didn't even need to take over per se for Cleveland to win this game. Just like the Miami series in 2011, if LBJ averages 3 more points against dallas, Miami wins. He didn't need to go into God mode, or even play like a Finals mvp for Miami to win. Same in this Boston game. He only had 11 points. At times LBJ is either 0 or 100. Hes either 30/10/10 or 8pts-11pts. If LBJ has 18pts tonight, then Cleveland still pulls it out with kyrie and love being the leading scorers. It's like when LBJ goes into passive mode, he doesn't know how to be a good sidekick. We always go into the "LBJ has to do everything" narrative even when he's surrounded by a solid supporting cast. TT did his job, kyrie did his job, Klove did his job, jr, shump, did their job. LBJ just flat out failed, and it didn't have much to do with him getting THEM going, as much as it did with LBJ just playing bad. Again, I'd agree with the:

"LBJ only lost because he sacrificed to get everyone else going" narrative If he had like 15ast to go with the 11pts, but he just flat out played bad, while his running mate did their jobs.

:hubie:

LBJ fans tried to pull that same narrative with Dwade in the 2011 finals. Low-key trying to blame wade for lbj' s offensive woes, blaming wade for assuming the leadership role over lbj, and thus turning LBJ into this passive player, and not being selfish enough.
