"The Warriors proved to be the better team when going up 3-1 with their full rotation in the Finals (this is even with Curry breaking down; limited mobility and notable swelling to his knee after games). Then Draymond got suspended, Bogut was injured and never returned, and Iggy was injured and was never the same for the rest of the series. If the Warriors had the same rotation from G1-G4, for the rest of the Finals, they would've gone on to win."

"If Draymond didn't get suspended, Iggy didn't get injured, Bogut didn't get injured and Curry didn't have a fukked knee, the Warriors likely close the Finals out against the Cavs 4-1 or 4-2"
Cavs beat Warriors in '15 with Kyrie and Love.

Bron won 2 games without his two best players vs. those fakkits in 2015, and kept games 4 and 5 close.

These GS fakkits got manhandled 3 of the last 5 games in 2016. Your dikkriding ways discust me breh :scust:

:sas1:
That's a more difficult one, as we really never got to see the Cavs at full-strength play the Warriors in the Finals to make an accurate assessment of how they'd fair (like we did the year after). Love wasn't really a factor in the '16 Finals (8 ppg on 36% shooting), so who knows what he could've contributed the year before. Kyrie obviously would've given the Cavs a greater chance, but the pace/style of the series would've been different if both those two played - the Cavs were only in it for the first half because they slowed the pace down and had a stronger defensive unit to keep them in games. Once the Warriors made some adjustments to open up the game, they ran away with it. If two weaker defenders in Love/Kyrie played, the game would've been more open from the very beginning, which would've played into GS' favor.

It's hard to say how that series would've turned out, as we never got to see a full strength Cavs v full strength Warriors for even ONE game in '15 Finals. We got to see it in the '16 Finals tho.

Mozgov, Mo Williams, & Dellavedova were playing/not playing hurt.

There is no such thing as a full at health Finals team.
When I say full-strength, I mean their usual rotation that they had throughout the playoffs and the Finals (Bogut was a starter and Iggy basically played starters minutes). Mo and Mozgov weren't in the rotation like that, and wasn't Delly relatively fine in G1-G2 of the '16 Finals? Didn't he just have his minutes cut after G2 because of how poor he was? I'm sure he wasn't any worse off than Curry who had limited mobility and swelling to his knee after games

Mo was Kyrie's only real back up at that point because Delly was playing on a dead leg going into the playoffs. Mo was playing on a bad knee as well which is why he's retired now.

JR had the skin peeled off his shooting hand in the Finals and trust me if they could have gotten the 2015 version of Mozgov before his fukked up surgery he would've found minutes with the second unit.

This just added to the physical stress of Kyrie and TT.

Iggy's back gave out...you don't think LeBron and Love didn't have those same issues? They all have a history of back issues.

My point is what the public views as healthy doesn't really matter...all these cats are playing with some form of injury in June. If you're healthy enough to be on the court you shouldn't get a pass.

I still don't see how that point takes away from what I said, or my reasoning for how the series ended up as it did. I'm not giving the Warriors a pass for anything, they didn't deserve to win. It's as simple as that. I'm just outlining the events that occured in the Finals, which had impact on the result. But like I keep saying, it is what it is - injuries affect every season, you need luck to win, it comes with the territory. This all started because some rockbrain thought the Warriors would've fallen off if they didn't sign Durant in the offseason, and that they had no chance of beating the Cavs without him, when clearly they did. Which is why I brought up what happened in the '16 Finals in the first place to back my argument.

Don't you think the fact the Warriors had a championship pedigree > Warriors team without it?

To me thats why the Warriors were there for the taking and could have got taken in 5 or 6 back in 2015 against a healthy Cavs squad.

They played like they were still unsure of themselves those first 4 games imo. Luckily for them LeBron missed the game winner/Kyrie got hurt in overtime and LeBron ran out of gas in game 4.

Game 5 was the one where they just really looked in control, back to themselves and knew they could beat them.

Which is why I think the Cavs facing them last year made it so tough. Love didn't get to have any finals experience. Kyrie just one game. Bron coming off back to back losses. There was still doubt in the Cavs if they could do it or not and facing a team with championship swagger. :yeshrug:

I sort of think no matter who won in 2015 the Cavs wouldn't have got down 3-1 the following year.

Lebron is one of the few players that just makes the game look effortless. Dudes talk about how he has no competition in the East but Lebron gets his buckets doing some of the most basic of fundamentals.

THE WEST HAS THE REST OF THE TOP 5 PLAYERS

WESTBROOK
HARDEN
KAWHI
CURRY

LEBRON WOULD BE MELO STATUS IF HE PLAYED HIS CAREER OUT WEST, EVERY1 KNOWS THIS
