When I first heard the story yesterday, she was walking with a friend. Things changed to her dad this morning. Yet he acted nothing like a dad would.
And according to the NY Times, they've got three of these guys so far. Ages 14, 15, 15.Parents turned in 2 of them.
"Father" and "daughter" were supposedly in the park drinking beer.

Filtering out all the nonsense that has appeared in the various versions of this story, to me, this always sounded like a train gone bad. Every update sounds more and more like it to me.
There are so many ridiculous stories I've heard and people I've known that have had their lives messed up from trains gone wrong.

New York City guns laws limit who can carry concealed. The NYC license application to carry is limited. Getting a license to have one in your home or business is easier though.
Basically, if you want to carry for general personal protection, you'll get your application denied.
