In 2015, North Carolina resident Marie Holmes made news when she won $188 million in the state’s lottery. After her win, Holmes then made more news when she repeatedly bailed her loser-ass boyfriend out of jail to the tune of close to $10 million.


Well, it seems as though Holmes is trying to get her life together, and she has enlisted the help of Iyanla Vanzant. Which makes sense now because her boyfriend is serving a 10-year prison sentence and won’t need her bail money for a while.

Holmes will appear on Iyanla: Fix My Life as part of a four-part, multiweek episode that will have Holmes and seven other women located in a “House of Healing” to dispel the myth of the “angry black woman.”

You know what? I’m not even going to say anything further, besides the fact that DMX has just had his 15th child (remember his episode?), and Debi Thomas is still living in squalor trying to support an unemployed man. Since Holmes’ boyfriend is now behind bars, hopefully her outcome will be a lot different.

The new season of Fix My Life begins airing Sept. 10.
